Kaju Paneer Masala Recipe | How to make Kaju Paneer sabji in punjabi style | Paneer aur kaju ki sabji
We often go to restaurants especially to have the dishes like Punjabi food, that we can have made or eat at home. But what if you are supposed to eat that same dish at home? Made by yourself according to your touch and flavour of some of the ingredients which are hard to get in a restaurant.
Most of the Punjabi dishes contain the same base or gravy with different ingredients, Today as mentioned above we are supposed to know the recipe of the Kaju Paneer Masala Punjabi dish at home. I consider this dish one of the healthy dishes because it contains Kaju and Paneer both of which are good for health. Kaju Paneer Masala Sabji is loved by everyone in a family because it is most of the common liked Punjabi dish.
Also, it does not contain onion and garlic, so it can be consumed by the Jains, Swaminarayan’s, and others who do not eat onion and garlic. As we know generally, children do not eat dry fruits in the normal way so it is a good way to make them eat with delicious taste. Paneer is one of the most important sources of protein so another ingredient that will help to make you healthy with a yummy taste.
Kaju Paneer Masala is a sabji that can be eaten in lunch as well as in dinner. One can also replace the Kaju in Kaju Paneer Masala with any other vegetable of your choice. You can make Kaju Paneer Masala with the following ingredients about 4 persons.
The List of Ingredients for Kaju Paneer Masala :
- 2 cups Roughly chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 cup Cashews
- 1/4 cup Melon seeds or Magajtari seeds
- 2 Chillies , 3 – cloves and 1 inch cinnamon
- 1/4 tbsp Black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp oil
- 150 gms Paneer cubes and 1 tbsp grated paneer
- 1/2 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1/4 tbsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 tbsp Garam masala
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tbsp Fennel seeds or powder
- 1 tbsp Cream
To make the Kaju Paneer Masala with no onion / no garlic, Take a bowl and chop the tomatoes roughly, add 1/4 cup cashews pieces, 1/4 cup melon seeds, 2 chillies ( red or green or both ), 3 cloves, 1-inch cinnamon, 1/4 tbsp fennel seeds or powder, 1/4 tbsp black pepper seeds or black pepper powder and 1 tbsp sugar, (you can also any other spice of your flavour to make tastier like bay leaf, cardamon, etc) blend the mixture in the mixer grinder.
After that, Take a pan add 2 tbsp butter add 1/4 whole cashews and fry the cashews till golden brown for crispy cashews.
Take 1 tbsp oil in a pan, add the mixture in the pan, mix it well, cover it and let it cook for 15-20 minutes on low-medium flame. Stir the gravy occasionally within every 3-5 minutes.
After 15minutes open the lid, add paneer cubes and grated paneer, also add spices 1/2 tbsp coriander powder, 1/4 tbsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tbsp turmeric powder, 1/4 tbsp Garam masala or you can use any special flavour of Punjabi dish, salt to taste, 1/4 tbsp Fennel seeds or powder mix all properly and add 1/4 cup water to maintain the consistency.
The last step is to add 1/4 tbsp of cream and freshly chopped coriander leaves. Your “Kaju Paneer Masala” is ready to serve. Eat the Kaju paneer masala Punjabi sabji with Butter naan or Butter Roti.
